One of the definitions of Rut:
"A narrow or predictable way of life, set of attitudes, : dreary or undeviating routine."
This was meant, I am sure to apply to humans, but I always seem to find similarities in behavior of the Animal world and "us humans".
For Goats, being a ruminant animal, "Rut" refers to the mating season.
During Rut, a buck who is normally friendly, always wanting a scratch on the head or a neck rub has one thing on his mind. Nothing you do to distract him will work. It makes you wonder "Where did this Crazy Goat come from?"
Once the "Rut" is over and the buck has accomplished his job ( and done it well), he will be back to the nice, calm, wanting a treat, lovable goat.
Sometimes people fill like they are "Stuck in a Rut", and wish they could get out of it.
I find myself thinking of new goals to accomplish but even then, sometimes when you procrastinate starting something new it makes you feel like you are in an even deeper Rut.
How do you get out of your Rut?
What would you do?
